I get the feeling that it's a bit over produced. I don't know how to put it. The crowd noises sound a bit "canned". It sounds kinda corny. Does anyone recall what sounds like young ladies swooning on some of the older recordings of Bobby doing his "cowboy" stuff ? That's what the crowd noises sound like to me.
My other beef is Ozzie Ahlers is a bit shrill and hits the keys a bit too hard. It's overpowering on some of the tunes. Almost difficult to listen to at times.
I hate to whine. I really do worship just about any sound

For anyone who's an emusic subscriber - it's tough I know*, but console yourself that the Garcia Live set is available there cheaper than anywhere else I've seen (£6.30 in UK, not sure what the dollar price is.

I'm just downloading as I write - I too have misgivings about Ozzie Ahlers' solos.

* Their user interface is just horrible - my current gripe is the really weird preview/sample system.
